Biography

Bob Wall has more than 30 years of experience in Northeast, Great Lakes and Middle Atlantic archaeology and has developed specializations in lithic and prehistoric ceramics analysis. He has worked on archaeological survey and excavation projects throughout the upper Potomac region since 1980 and on the Barton site archaeological field school excavations since 1993. The Barton site excavations are also a joint undertaking with the western Maryland chapter of the Archaeological Society of Maryland every year. In 2001 he received the William B. Marye award for contributions to Maryland archaeology and he currently serves on the Maryland Advisory Committee on Archaeology appointed by the governor.
