Biography

In 2009, Ted Haynie completed a thirty-seven year career in public education. He has been associated with many groups and projects involved with the education and professional development of adults and considered that a primary responsibility in his role as a school district and building administrator. He has consulted for a variety of school districts and organizations in the areas of professional development, school improvement, and educational leadership. Ted began teaching for Towson University as an adjunct instructor in 1999 and became a full-time lecturer in August of 2009 in the Department of Instructional Leadership and Professional Development. He is a decades-long member of Learning Forward (formerly the National Staff Development Council), a former member of their Board of Trustees and the Host Chair of their 2008 Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. He is also a consultant and national trainer for The School Improvement Network.
