Biography
Dr. Shahid is a distinguished scholar and educator with extensive experience in school
library media and librarianship. With over a decade of teaching and research, she
has made significant contributions to the academic community through her innovative
research and dedication to student success. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Learning Technologies & School Library Media, Dr. Shahid is committed to designing and teaching inventive school library media
courses for information literacy and access, collection management and knowledge organization,
in addition to mentoring students on professional and research projects.

Research
Dr. Shahid’s research interests include information literacy instruction, other forms
of literacy and the use of technology tools and innovative methods in school libraries.
With a passion for qualitative research, she is committed to researching and designing
educational frameworks and instructional methods that revolutionize information literacy
practices and support the school library media specialists.
