Biography

Diane Kuthy is the recipient of two Maryland State Arts Council Artist in Education Grants, a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist’s Grant, and a Baltimore City Arts Grant, as well as participating in a School 33 Studio Residency and garnering a Yaddo fellowship to Yaddo Colony in Saratoga, New York. Kuthy has exhibited extensively in the greater Baltimore /Washington area for the past 10 years, including solo exhibitions at the Halcyon Gallery in Baltimore and at the Montpelier Art Center in Laurel, Maryland. Her work has been included in numerous group exhibitions including “Crosscurrents” at the University of Maryland, College Park, “Small Works” at Touchstone Gallery in Washington, D.C., “Strictly Painting” at the McLean Project for the Arts in McLean, Virginia, and “National Drawing and Painting” at the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Her teaching experience includes associate educator for the Close Encounter Program at the Baltimore Museum of Art and painting instructor at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
