Biography

Luci Jockel is the Metalsmithing and Jewelry Lecturer/Coordinator at Towson University. Luci holds an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Jewelry and Metalsmithing, and a BFA in Studio Art from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). She has instructed courses and workshops at RISD, University of the Arts, Penland School of Craft, Brooklyn Metalworks, and more. Luci's work has been collected by the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the RISD Museum. She was the recipient of the MSAC Grants for Artists, SNAG’s Educational Endowment Scholarship, and American Craft Council Emerging Voices Award. She has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally at venues such as Galerie Handwerk, R&Company, RISD Museum, Schmuck Munich Fair, NYC Jewelry Week, Society of North American Goldsmiths Conference, and Galerie Marzee's Marzee International Graduate Show in 2016 where she received the Marzee International Graduate Prize. Her work has been featured in Ripley's Believe it or Not!, CNN Arabic, The Magazine ANTIQUES and American Craft Magazine.
