Biography

Prior to joining Towson University, Dr. Sevin worked at Reinhardt University, Waleska, Georgia; University of Fribourg, Switzerland; and Kadir Has University, Turkey.

Dr. Sevin’s current research focuses on identifying and measuring the impact of social networks on place branding and public diplomacy campaigns. His works have been published in several academic journals and books including American Behavioral Scientist, Public Relations Review, and Cities. His most recent book, Public Diplomacy and the Implementation of Foreign Policy in the US, Sweden and Turkey, was published by Palgrave MacMillan in 2017. He is the current chair of International Communication section of the International Studies Association.
