Biography
Professor Atwater specializes in broadcast journalism, writing for the media and digital journalism. She started teaching in the Department of Mass Communication after more than 10 years as a TV news reporter in markets around the country. She won two Capital Region Emmys while covering news in Baltimore.
In addition to her teaching, Professor Atwater also helps first year students at TU transition to life as college student in her role as a First Year Experience Advisor.
