The only persons authorized to sign contracts on behalf of the university are those to whom signatory authority has been granted.
The president automatically grants signatory authority to all vice presidents who in turn delegate signatory authority to others under their supervision in order to increase the efficiency of the university's operations. For more information, refer to the Contract Execution Policy, located in the Policy Repository.
The Active Signatory Authority Delegation Table (PDF) lists all those who have been delegated authority for specific types of contracts by the appropriate vice president. To authorize a university employee to sign contracts, the completion of the Signatory Authority Delegation Form (DOCX) is required. Individuals are encouraged to contact the Office of the General Counsel for consultation about the proposed delegation before completing the final signed form.
