Spearheading an institutional goal of achieving R2-Doctoral status by 2027, TU’s Division of Research coordinates and collaborates with academic colleges and departments to support, amplify and expand the university’s research impact for the public good.

TU’s Division of Research is dedicated to advancing solutions that improve the lives of people in Maryland and beyond. Following the university’s 2030 Strategic Plan and the Presidential Priorities, the division works in coordination with academic leadership to achieve institutional goals and meet measurable targets for research expenditures and activities.

TU’s inaugural Vice President of Research, Sidd Kaza, PhD, serves as part of the President’s Cabinet, helping to advance the university’s research enterprise and impact.
