Biography/Research

I am broadly interested in using primarily quantitative approaches (with a sprinkling of fieldwork) to understand the movement ecology of a variety of species across a variety of systems (terrestrial, marine, aerial, etc.). My recent (and future) research focuses on applying and developing novel quantitative approaches and tools to animal movement and location data to better understand spatial-temporal patterns in behavior and specifically, how human activity and development interacts with and/or disrupts this. Ultimately, I aim to produce research products that are immediately applicable for management and conservation, through active collaboration and partnerships with non-profit organizations, as well as state and federal government authorities.
