- Admission to Towson University. Undergraduate degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a regionally
accredited college or university* in a related area (i.e. biology, chemistry, geology,
or environmental science) with a minimum GPA of 3.00 for full admission. All GPA calculations
for admission are based upon the last 60 units of undergraduate and post-baccalaureate
study. Students lacking key prerequisites and/or having a GPA of 2.75-2.99 may be
given conditional admission.
- Students without an undergraduate degree in a related area are required to complete
the following courses with a minimum GPA of 2.75: two terms of introductory biology
with laboratory, two terms of introductory chemistry with laboratory and one term
of statistics OR one term of calculus. This should be done in consultation with the
graduate program director.

Program admits Fall and Spring terms only. The deadline for receipt and verification
of applications for all applicants is October 1 for spring admission and March 1 for
fall admission. Admission is granted on a competitive, space-available basis. information.
