Fall 2025 Event and Program Calendar
Check out all the fun things the Honors College has planned this fall.
The Honors College provides students with a variety of co-curricular experiences that promote professional development and foster community engagement
To check in with our first-year students after they've been on campus about a month, Honors College staff members take up their spatulas to flip pancakes for dinner. During this event, students who submitted the best answers to our Common Book Read questions during Orientation are recognized with certificates and their choice of book from among our previous Common Reads.
As the temperature drops each autumn, Honors College staff members make a variety of homemade soups and invite Honors sophomores to join them for an informal dinner conversation in Douglass House. This program provides second-year students with the opportunity to connect with their peers and meet the winners of the fall Celebration of Scholarship and Learning (CSL), who are recognized at the event.
The competiton is fierce as students challenge faculty and staff in our annual trivia game. Speedy hands and knowledge are key assets on this night, and the bragging rights for the year are codified on the plaque in the Honors office suite.
In spring, juniors and seniors in the Honors College assemble for an evening of coffee, desserts, and conversation with Honors staff, alumni, and parents willing to offer their knowledge and expertise regarding careers and networking. Winners from the spring Celebration of Scholarship and Learning (CSL) are also recognized at this event.
Honors Explores is a program series of local excursions for Honors students. These trips are designed to create memorable, meaningful experiences that showcase the culture, history, and attractions of the Baltimore area while fostering community among students. Transportation is provided to make participation easy and accessible.
