Towson University, like the entire University System of Maryland, is adopting a new benefits platform in 2019.

Towson University faculty and staff benefits are going online in 2019.

As the calendar turned, the new State Personnel Benefits System (SPS) went live. This will mark the first time that TU employees will be able to make benefits changes and enrollment selections online.

The entire University System of Maryland — which includes TU — is adopting the new Workday platform.

This month, employees will receive instructions on how to log on to the Workday platform. All faculty and staff will utilize this system during the next open enrollment phase later in 2019.

But when 2019 began, this became the tool for new employees to enroll in benefits or for any current employees initiating changes to benefits for qualifying life events (such as marriage, birth, adoption of a child, etc.).

Faculty and staff with benefits related questions are encouraged to contact the Total Rewards Unit in HR at 410-704-2162.

Recently, the Office of Human Resources reorganized in order to provide more comprehensive service in a faster manner, enabling TU employees to focus more on what they do best. Read more about that realignment.
