The Largest Collegiate Crab Feast in Maryland is one of the key highlights of Towson University's Family Weekend.

This weekend, Towson University’s campus will be a little bit more crowded as campus will host a little extra fun and excitement with the annual Family Weekend[BROKEN LINK] slate of events for students and their families.

Held each fall, Family Weekend gives Towson University students’ families an opportunity to enjoy the campus, get to know the TU community and spend some quality time with their students at fun, special events held throughout campus.

“We hope that Family Weekend has something to offer all of our Tiger families," says Towson University President Kim Schatzel. "From hosting the largest collegiate crab feast in Maryland to the only undefeated Division I football team in the great State of Maryland, it’s a great time to be a Tiger.”

During the weekend, New Student and Family Programs partner with multiple colleges, divisions and departments to host events that showcase what Towson University has to offer.

Some highlight events include:

  • The Largest Collegiate Crab Feast in Maryland.
    (Towson Center | Saturday, Sept. 21 | 3-5:30 p.m)

The weekend will also feature the No. 5 Towson Tigers football team doing battle against Colonial Athletic Association rival, No. 18 Villanova. The Tigers are 3-0 after going on the road and defeating No. 12 Maine last weekend.

The game takes place on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Unitas Stadium, with kickoff scheduled at 6 p.m. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free #BeatVillanova black shirt.
