Get ready to show your tiger pride as Towson University launches an exciting new Homecoming tradition in 2026.

The inaugural Towson University Homecoming Parade will bring together students, alumni, faculty, staff, community partners, local organizations, businesses and families for a spirited celebration of all things black and gold. New this year, the parade will begin in uptown Towson and make its way through town before arriving on campus, creating a vibrant connection between the university and the community that has long supported it.

Whether you’re marching in the parade, riding on a float or cheering from the sidelines, this event is an opportunity to celebrate Towson University’s traditions, achievements and the people who make the Tiger community so special.

  • Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2026
  • Lineup location:
    StarTUp at the Armory
    307 Washington Avenue
    Towson, MD 21204
  • Lineup begins: 3 p.m.
  • Parade step-off: 4 p.m.

The parade route will travel from the Armory through uptown Towson before concluding on the university campus, bringing Homecoming spirit to the heart of the community.

The Homecoming Parade is open to:

  • Towson University departments
  • student organizations
  • alumni groups
  • community partners
  • local schools
  • businesses
  • civic and nonprofit organizations
  • individuals and families

Participation is free and all groups are encouraged to showcase their creativity, spirit and connection to Towson University.

Show Your Tiger Pride

Participants are encouraged to make the parade a memorable celebration by incorporating:

  • decorated floats
  • banners and signs
  • organizational and national flags
  • spirit items and giveaways
  • candy, beads and other parade-friendly treats
  • costumes, uniforms and themed attire
  • plenty of black-and-gold pride

From marching groups and performers to community organizations and alumni chapters, every participant helps create an unforgettable Homecoming experience.

Register to Participate

You’re welcome to line the streets and cheer on the participants but if you wish to participate you need to register.

Participation is free, but advance registration is required to be part of the parade. Register by 5 p.m, Tuesday, October 20.
