Towson University is committed to maintaining a healthy campus community that promotes academic success and living a vibrant and successful life.
A healthy student is a successful student. A variety of services and programs are offered throughout campus that promote health and wellness, and support your success in college and beyond.
The Health Center offers a full range of primary, urgent and preventive health care services for our students. Our staff encourage you to take an active role in your health, and are dedicated to providing the highest level of care, while maintaining confidentiality. The Health Center promotes public health by maintaining immunization compliance for the campus community.
The Counseling Center exists to help all students deal constructively both with normal and extraordinary challenges and stresses of college life. Through personal counseling and other services, our professional clinicians can assist you to better resolve problems in living, learning new life skills, and increase your personal resilience and resourcefulness.
Accessibility & Disability Services (ADS) provides accommodations and services to students with disabilities so they have an equal opportunity to participate and enjoy all the university has to offer. ADS collaborates with students and other campus partners to remove barriers to accessibility and foster an all-inclusive campus.
Campus Recreation offers countless ways to improve health and wellness by being active and having fun. Get in a workout in the Fitness Center or pool. De-stress by going on an outdoor trip or taking a yoga class. Join an intramural team or student-run sport club to meet people and stay active.
TU Nursing Rooms provide a private, secure, clean space for breastfeeding. Locations of the rooms are listed below. They are available to all students, faculty and staff, as well as spouses and domestic partners.
Health and wellness programming and education are an integral part of campus life. Our expert staff and Peer Educators are available to speak with individuals and groups, as well as provide resources on many health topics. Many health education programs and events are scheduled throughout the year across campus. Self-help and educational resources are also available on our website.
The Healthy Campus Initiative provides a framework for improving the overall health status on campus. Through the collaborative efforts of Student Affairs, Academics and Human Resources, we work to foster healthy environments and behaviors.
