Philanthropy creates Opportunity at Towson University!
Gifts from alumni and friends provide our students with a distinctive education, challenging
academic programs and life-changing opportunities that prepare them to succeed and
make a difference in communities throughout Maryland, the region, and the world.
The TU Fund
Towson University is Maryland’s university of opportunity and possibility for nearly
23,000 students. Philanthropic support is vital to helping our students and our larger
university community reach their full potential, the new TU Fund is one way you can
help fuel our momentum.
The TU Fund is an unrestricted annual giving fund that is important to the university
because we are able to direct your gift where it can have the biggest impact. In addition
to supporting every area of our growing campus, the TU Fund also supports two new
initiatives: student achievement activities and innovative faculty and staff programs.
Here’s an example:
TU Student Emergency and Food Insecurity Fund
No student should have to choose between buying a textbook or buying a meal. Getting
to class or getting to the doctor. At TU, we give our students their best opportunities
for success–which means making sure all of their basic needs are being met. The new
TU Student Emergency and Food Insecurity Fund takes the value and generosity of the
Food Insecurity Fund and does more good for more people. Gifts to the fund ensure
all students have access to the food they need, as well as other resources to boost
their well-being. Healthy students can focus more on their education, so they–and
our entire community–can thrive.
What opportunities can your contribution create? Find out by making a gift!
