You will earn a certificate of completion from Towson University upon completion. There is no industry certification given for this course.

Joyce Garczynski is director of library communications and engagement at the Albert S. Cook Library at Towson University. In this role, she has taught TU advertising and public relations students about finding and using market research for the last 16 years. Prior to becoming a librarian, Joyce worked as a project coordinator at a Philadelphia nonprofit.

Hardware Requirements

  • This program can be taken on either a PC or Mac.
  • Webcams are strongly recommended.

Software Requirements

  • PC: Windows XP or later.
  • Mac: OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 or later.
  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
  • Microsoft Word (not included in enrollment).
  • Windows Media Player.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.
