Information Desk

The Commons Information Desk is located on the first floor of the West Village Commons. The desk offers assistance to the students, faculty, staff and visitors who travel to the West Village Commons for the many events and activities housed within the building.

Tabling, Posters, Recycling

The Information Desk offers general information such as directions and phone numbers, manages reservations for tabling inside the West Village Commons, and approves fliers and posters for distribution within the building. Recycling collection bins for batteries, cell phones, printer cartridges and fluorescent light bulbs are located at the Information Desk.

Lost & Found

The Information Desk serves as the Commons' designated lost and found. Once items are deemed abandoned or lost, steps are quickly taken to identify and locate the owner. When the owner cannot be found within 48 hours, unclaimed items will be taken to the University Union Information Desk where they are processed and stored. The Union Info Desk is the designated lost and found location for the university.

Potential Owners

Potential owners of the property may recover it by making a proper identification of the item at the West Village Commons' Desk within 48 hours of finding the lost item. After such time, identification can be made at the University Union’s Information Desk.

Care and Comfort

We care about your comfort and take pride in the appearance of our building. Contact us to discuss your safety, maintenance, and comfort needs. We are happy to serve as the liaison between our tenants and guests and Facilities Management and ABM Janitorial Services.

Keys and Access

Tenants, including new hires, who require access to offices may submit a written request from the department head to receive the necessary keys. Requests may be sent via e-mail to the University Union's Building Manager.


Promoting Your Event

The digital signs throughout the West Village Commons are used to advertise upcoming events, current university promotions, and safety tips to the campus community. It is a great and easy way to promote your event.

Here’s how:

First, contact Art Services to have your event image professionally designed and created. Once completed, Event and Conference Services will upload it to the digital displays.

Students who are involved with a University Recognized Organization (URO) that have a digital display template currently on file, please submit your event information directly to Event and Conference Services using the link below.

Images will be displayed up to two weeks in advance of the event.
