Towson University offers two ways to prep for your PMP certification: an in-class version and a hybrid version that integrates face-to-face learning with online activities to give you the ‘best of both worlds.’

Both the in-class and hybrid Project Management Professional (PMP®) prep course teaches you the critical skills needed to build your expertise and prove yourself as a leader in project management. After completing this 48 hour course, you will be prepared to sit for the PMP® or CAPM® exam.

Tuition: $2,699 includes PMBOK® Guide – 6th edition and study materials

In-Class Location: 7400 York Road, Towson, MD

Hybrid Location: Online via WebEx plus three, in-person classes at Towson University.

PMP Certification Exam Eligibility

To be eligible for the PMP® certification, you must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements. All project management experience must have been accrued within the last eight consecutive years prior to your application submission. Towson University's course fulfills the 35 hour education requirement.

Educational Background Project Management Experience Project Management Education
Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or global equivalent) Minimum five years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and directing the project* 35 contact hours of formal education

Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent) Minimum three years/36 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 4,500 hours were spent leading and directing the project* 35 contact hours of formal education
