Towson University offers two ways to prep for your PMP certification: an in-class version and a hybrid version that integrates face-to-face learning with online activities to give you the ‘best of both worlds.’

The Project Management Professional (PMP®) prep course teaches you the critical skills needed to build your expertise and prove yourself as a leader in project management. After completing this 48 hour course, you will be prepared to sit for the PMP® or CAPM® exam.

Whether you're just starting out or are climbing the project management ladder, the Project Management Professional (PMP®) Preparation Course from Towson University's Continuing and Professional Studies can help you advance your career. This course provides you with the training, materials, and support to prepare you to sit for either the PMP® or CAPM® exam. The PMP® certification is globally recognized as the preeminent project management professional credential. The CAPM® certification is for those who have less experience in project management but need to prove their knowledge.

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or global equivalent)
  • 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam

Exam format

  • 150 multiple choice questions
  • Three hour time limit

Maintaining your certification: You must retake the CAPM® certification every five years to maintain certification

About the Instructor

Tushar Rathod is an experienced project manager, adjunct professor and instructor skilled in adult learning styles. He brings the complex language and concepts of project management to meet students where they are. Mr. Rathod holds an MPA, PMP and CSM.
