Towson University offers two ways to prep for your PMP certification: an in-class version and a hybrid version that integrates face-to-face learning with online activities to give you the ‘best of both worlds.’

The Project Management Professional (PMP®) prep course teaches you the critical skills needed to build your expertise and prove yourself as a leader in project management. After completing this 48 hour course, you will be prepared to sit for the PMP® exam.

Total Hours: 48

Tuition: $2,799 includes PMBOK® Guide and study materials

Register for this course at least 30 days in advance of the start date and receive a 5% discount on the price. Note: WIOA, G.I. Bill® and other tuition assistance programs are not eligible for this discount.

Location: This course will be taught live, online.

This course is WIOA approved and is on the Maryland Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL).

  • Four-year degree
  • Three years leading projects
  • 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® certification

OR

  • High school diploma or an associate's degree or global equivalent
  • Five years leading projects
  • 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® certification

Exam format

  • 200 multiple choice questions
  • Four hour time limit

Maintaining your certification: You are required to earn 60 PDUs in a three-year cycle. These PDUs can be broken down as follows:

Tushar Rathod is an experienced project manager, adjunct professor and instructor skilled in adult learning styles. He brings the complex language and concepts of project management to meet students where they are. Mr. Rathod holds an MPA, PMP and CSM.

Hardware Requirements

  • This course can be taken on either a PC or Mac.
  • Webcams are strongly recommended.

Software Requirements

  • PC: Windows XP or later.
  • Mac: OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 or later.
  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
  • Microsoft Word (not included in enrollment).
  • Windows Media Player.
  • Adobe Flash Player. Download the Flash Player.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader. Download the Acrobat Reader.
  • Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.
