Campus Recreation, a department within the Division of Student Affairs and Student Health and Wellbeing, is dedicated to Towson University’s mission of creating a vibrant and healthy campus. We support the success of the TU community by providing programs, facilities, and services that promote engagement, belonging, and holistic wellbeing.
TU has one of the most comprehensive recreation centers in Maryland.

Gym Closure
All basketball courts will be closed on Saturday, April 11 due to Tigerthon. Gyms will re-open on Sunday, April 12.
Now Hiring for Lifeguards
We are currently accepting applications for Lifeguards available to work during the summer term. Applicants must hold a current Lifeguard certification from the American Red Cross. Apply here by May 1.
Hot Water Outage
From 10 P.M. until Campus Recreation closes, hot water will be unavailable throughout the Campus Recreation Center and Burdick Hall due to ongoing campus maintenance.

- Review our full facility guidelines HERE.
- Patrons should use the TU Campus Rec mobile app for touchless entry into the facility, ease of program registration, and to stay up to date on all things TU Campus Rec. If you don’t have or forget a smartphone, a valid physical TU OneCard will be accepted for entry.
- Patrons are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Water bottle filling stations will be available.
- The locker rooms are available for full use, including showers, towel service, and locker rental.
- Day use lockers are available throughout the facility. You can bring your own lock or day use locks can be checked out at the Equipment Room.
