University Child Care Center

The University Child Care Center is a nature and the arts early childhood program on the beautiful campus of Towson University.

Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature.  It will never fail you. ”

Frank Lloyd Wright

Our arts and nature programs are rooted in the ideal that the early childhood years should be full of joy, inquiry, discovery, challenge, healthy risk, and secure relationships! We believe that the earliest memories of a school environment should be of learning experiences which stimulate all of the senses; That's why each day at our center includes ample outdoor play in our nature play scape, and engaging in activities like making mud pies, jumping in mud puddles, and climbing on rocks. We draw from the child development work of Maria Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia. We emphasize the ideal that children are responsible and capable entities. While with us, they will be guided to respect their environment and their peers while learning to meet their own needs as independent individuals.

NOTE: We have completed enrollment for the 2019-2020 academic year.
