Dr. Lauren T. Kaiser, Ph.D., NCSP, is a nationally certified school psychologist with over 20 years of experience in K–12 and higher education. She has joined Towson University as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School Psychology program, where she will mainly teach graduate courses in school psychology, such as the “Introduction to School Psychology” and “Practicum in School Psychology.”
Dr. Kaiser most recently served as a school psychologist in Baltimore County Public Schools, where she continues to support school psychologists through training in consultation and coaching practices. Previously, she was an associate professor and coordinator of the Ed.S. Program in School Psychology at Millersville University, where she also served as assistant department chair and contributed to curriculum development and faculty governance. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in school psychology and a B.S. in elementary education from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Dr. Kaiser has worked in diverse educational settings across eight states as an elementary teacher, school psychologist, district-level intervention specialist and trainer/coach in programs such as instructional consultation teams, Double Check classroom check-up coaching, positive behavior intervention supports, and the coping power program. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Maryland, Stevenson University and Millersville University.
Her research focuses on school consultation, interventions and implementation of science. She has presented nationally, published eight peer-reviewed articles, contributed to NASP Best Practices in School Psychology VII, and co-authored Case Studies in School Psychology: Applying Standards for Professional Practice. Dr. Kaiser has held leadership roles in ASPP, MSPA, and the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Educational and Psychological Consultation.
Dr. Lauren Kaiser clinical emphasis has been on enhancing collaboration, problem-solving and culturally-responsive skills of school professionals to better improve equity and outcomes, academic, social-emotional, or behavioral, for students in schools.
