Advising

Below is a list of departmental faculty who have chaired theses for clinical psychology graduate students in the past. If you are planning to conduct a thesis, it is strongly recommended that you identify, in your personal statement, the faculty member with whom you want to work. You should also contact that faculty member in advance of applying to determine whether s/he will be taking on students and to discuss your research interests. While the goal is to permit students to conduct research in their area of interest, this may not always be possible (i.e., if the faculty member with whom the student wants to work is not taking new students). In this case, the student will be helped to find a suitable, alternative, thesis chair.
