The school library media certificate program is designed for educators who wish to implement the five roles of the library media specialist at the school, district or state level.
The school library media post-baccalaureate certificate accepts admission materials on a rolling basis. Applicants are encouraged to meet these priority deadlines:
Applicants to the school library media certificate program must have a master’s degree or doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university, a degree in education or a teaching certification, and teaching experience (at least one full year) at the elementary or secondary levels.
Please note: Students having already earned a master’s degree in instructional technology with a concentration in school library media are not eligible for this PBC.
F-1 and J-1 students are required to be enrolled full-time. The majority of their classes must be in-person and on campus. See the list of programs that satisfy these requirements. Contact the International Student and Scholars Office with questions.
