Biography

Jaime O'Donnell has been teaching since 2003 and is a lecturer for the Elementary Education Department.  She has taught Level 1 courses to juniors specifically in reading methods, children’s literature and elementary school based internships in Baltimore County and Baltimore City. She also advises sophomores, juniors and seniors in the ELED major and works with transfer students.  Mrs. O’Donnell also holds experience in supervising interns in their senior year full time internship placement in Harford County.

She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Salisbury University and her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. After teaching middle school in the Maryland for BCPS for three years, she moved to Florida to work at an elementary charter school. She taught in Florida for five years to grades 2 and 4, focusing on the areas of reading and writing. Mrs. O’Donnell conducted trainings on reading assessment and led professional development monthly meeting on writing to foster further development of the school-wide writing curriculum and state testing.  She also sat on the accreditation board for her charter school. Jaime moved back to Maryland in 2011 and joined Towson University.
