Karen has taught, presented and experienced dance with babies through adults. She has developed curriculum for preschool through university level Dance, French and Literacy programs. Karen was the Assistant to the Director of the Children's Dance Division for six years. 

In 1997, Karen opened a dance studio for children ages 3-12. The technique classes were taught in French. Students performed at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the Convention Center, the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Walters Art Museum. 

Karen delved into the Baltimore County school system in 1991. She has taught French, Dance, Art and Movement and Kindergarten French Immersion. Her newest venture is Kindergarten Dance Integration at the county's newest elementary school, West Towson. 

Throughout her career, Karen has shared her classroom excitement at conferences. Some of her favorite topics are: L’Evolution de la danse francophone, Books that Move: Incorporating Creative Movement in Story Time, The Brain and Language Learning, Dancing with the Visual Arts and Teaching French to Children on the Autism Spectrum.
