The Department of Dance provides professional training, artistic development, and expanding opportunities for academic excellence and enrichment in dance and dance education.

Dance Performance and Choreography (B.F.A.)

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Dance provides excellent preparation for careers in dance performance, teaching, and choreography with preparation for continued study in graduate school.

Dance Education (M.A.)

The Master of Arts in dance education provides flexible part-time graduate study for certified dance teachers who need to qualify for the Advanced Certificate and for dance professionals who seek to deepen their teaching practice.

Dance Courses for Non-Majors

The Department of Dance offers a variety of courses for non-majors in the regular academic year, minimester, and summer sessions. Courses offered might include Ballet, Modern Dance, Yoga, Conditioning, Jazz, Tap, Aerial and more. We also offer Dance studio/repertory classes, Towson Seminar courses (TSEM), CORE and elective lecture courses, and online classes. Check the official course schedule for details.
