Biography

Lauren Vujosevic is a visiting assistant professor of music education, where she teaches courses across the music education curriculum. Originally from New Jersey, she began her career as a music educator in New York City, teaching PK–8 general music and choir for five years. She earned her BME from Rutgers University and later completed an MS in curriculum and instruction at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she taught undergraduate courses in popular music and music technology. She recently earned her Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Maryland. She currently also teaches at the Hatching Program, a community music school at the University of Maryland.

Vujosevic’s research focuses on music teacher education, navigating classroom controversy and school-university partnerships. Her scholarship has been presented at national, regional, and state conferences hosted by organizations including:
