Robyn Quick is a professor and chair of the Department of Theatre Arts at Towson University, where she teaches theatre history and dramaturgy. She has presented at numerous national and international conferences, and has been published in American TheatreThe New England Journal of TheatreSlavic and East European Performance,Theatre Studies, and the Routledge Companion to Dramaturgy, among others. Her work as a dramaturg has been recognized by the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas with the Elliot Hayes Award for Excellence in Dramaturgy and by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival with the Gold Medallion. While serving as a Senior Fulbright Scholar in Russia, she taught at the Russian State University for the Humanities and directed at the Playwright and Director Center in Moscow. Robyn Quick holds a Ph.D. in theatre studies from the University of Michigan, a master's degree in theatre from Kent State University and a bachelor's degree in theatre and English from Western Maryland College.
