Research Fellowships
Ronald and Linda Raspet Summer Research Fellowship
Deadline: Friday, February 12th, 2027 by 5pm EST
Fellowships of $7000 and above are available for Summer 2027. The award will fund
8-10 weeks of research during which the student will typically spend up to 40 hours
per week in research-related activities under the guidance of a faculty supervisor.
Eligibility:
1. Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry, Environmental Science or MB3 Major at Towson University.
2. Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing (this includes 4+1 UGs) at Towson University during the period of the award.
3. Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.00 in Chemistry.
4. Have a tenured or tenure-track faculty member in the Chemistry & Forensic Science Department of Towson University as a Research Mentor.
Applications can be completed by clicking the appropriate link below. In addition to the preliminary questions in the application form, each applicant must submit:
- A brief research proposal of no more than three pages
- A letter of recommendation from the proposed faculty member
The student should prepare the research proposal with guidance from the faculty mentor. The faculty mentor's letter should clearly describe the extent of the student's contribution to the development of the proposal and training received (or will receive).
The completed application materials and faculty letter of recommendation must be submitted through the appropriate Microsoft Forms link below before the deadline.

4. Have a tenured or tenure-track faculty, or lecturer or clinical faculty member in the Department of Chemistry & Forensic Science, Biology or PAGS of Towson University as a Research Mentor.
