Assistant Professor of Mathematics (FCSM-3913)
The Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track 9-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Mathematics, with preferred start date of August 2026. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in mathematics, applied mathematics, or statistics by August 2026. They should have a strong research background, potential for external funding, and excellent teaching. Department needs include a mathematician who can contribute to future needs for applications of pure mathematics to emerging fields such as: data science, machine learning, quantum computing, or artificial intelligence. Outstanding candidates in other mathematical fields will be given full consideration.

Adjunct Faculty Positions
The Department of Mathematics regularly seeks enthusiastic adjunct instructors to teach mathematics, mathematics education, or developmental mathematics at various times and days. To be considered, applicants must have a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or related field and some teaching experience.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, a resume, copies of graduate transcripts showing attainment of Master’s or higher, as well as any other transcripts showing mathematics coursework (unless graduate degree is in Mathematics).
