Post Office

The TU Post Office offers most United State Postal Service (USPS) services. We handle incoming mail and packages for TU students, and intra-campus mail for faculty, staff and students. UPS and Bulk Mail Services are also available.

New Office Hours and Postal Delivery Information

Postal services follow a modified schedule. Individuals can drop off and/or pick up small packages and mail from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Individuals and departments who would like to pick up their mail or packages should coordinate a pick-up time with the Post Office by calling 410-704-2260 or emailing . Post Office staff will direct you to a pick-up location and observe social distancing directives. Please bring identification in case it is needed.

For departments that remain open for delivery, the Post Office can continue delivering and picking up mail and small packages by request. To request or modify service, contact the Post Office at 410-704-2260 or . Departments currently receiving mail include the Bursar’s Office, Financial Services, WTMD, the Office of Public Safety, the Office of Development, the College of Liberal Arts, Facilities Management/Central Receiving, Athletics and TUNE.

Central Receiving & Package Delivery

Larger packages delivered to faculty, staff and campus departments can be picked up at the Central Receiving loading dock in the General Services Building. Beginning Monday June 15th, Central Receiving will be open for package pick up Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted, and packages will be transferred while adhering to social distancing directives. Faculty and staff may call Work Control at 410-704-2481 to check on a package or confirm a package is available for pick up.  Please note that packages are not being delivered on campus during this time. Packages that are not picked up will be held at Central Receiving and distributed when normal operations resume.

Per state guidelines, all items purchased with a pro-card must be delivered to Towson University’s address: 8000 York Road, Towson, MD 21252. Packages shipped directly to on-campus office addresses will not be delivered since many buildings are locked. Off-campus deliveries require prior approval from the procurement card program administrator.

How can faculty, staff and departments send and receive medium and large packages?

Packages can be picked up at the Central Receiving loading dock in the General Services Building. How do I know if my package has arrived at Central Receiving or the Post Office?
Faculty and staff should use the tracking numbers provided by the carrier. They may also call Work Control at 410-704-2481 or the Post Office at 410-704-2260 to check on a package or confirm if it’s available for pick up. Note that all USPS packages are delivered by the Post Office.
What will happen to my package if I don't pick it up?
Packages that are not picked up by faculty and staff will be held at Central Receiving and distributed when normal operations resume. 


About the TU Post Office

The TU Post Office is conveniently located on the first floor of the University Union, a hub of student activity.

Mail must be received by the TU Post Office by 3 p.m. in order to go out that day. The TU Post Office accepts cash, check or retail points. We do NOT accept credit cards.
