Working Groups

Working groups are broadly representative and are comprised of TU faculty, staff and students from across the institution’s divisions and academic colleges. Working groups will be responsible for compiling sections of the self-study that align with their assigned MSCHE standard through data collection and analysis, examination of evidence and drafting of the section of the self-study report specific to their assigned standard.Members of the Committee for Institutional Effectiveness (CIE) serve as evidence stewards for the working groups, supporting the identification, organization, and review of evidence. 

Committee for Institutional Effectiveness 

The Committee for Institutional Effectiveness (CIE) is a standing university committee dedicated to ensuring the ongoing improvement and success of our institution through effective assessment. The CIE identifies assessment opportunities and outlines best practice for assessment in administrative divisions, colleges and units. The CIE is responsible for annual monitoring of discussion assessment reports and outcomes and for providing feedback to the university's divisions and colleges. The CIE conducts annual data and evidence gathering for the MSCHE evidence inventory, and CIE members serve as evidence stewards in each of the working groups.

Standard 1: The institution’s mission defines its purpose within the context of higher education, the students it serves, and what it intends to accomplish. The institution’s stated goals are clearly linked to its mission and specify how the institution fulfills its mission.
