The university and the Office of the Provost are committed to maintaining an active
and engaged relationship with retired faculty.
Sub-menu
Towson University acknowledges and greatly values the significant contributions retired
faculty members have made over the years to enrich the lives of their students as
well as the life of the university.
Remaining Engaged
Many faculty members retiring from full-time service very much want to remain engaged
and connected with the university. As such, the university has a variety of resources
and programs which aid in fostering this important relationship.
The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce the establishment of a loan program
for faculty who may not own regalia so that they may participate in Commencement activities.
We are currently seeking regalia donations to make available for current faculty when
requested. These donations, made by a number of retired faculty, not only acknowledge
and preserve the academic legacy of former faculty, but also both help and inspire
current faculty members. Donations of gowns and hoods will be accepted and are tax-deductible.
