Student Foundation

The mission of the Student Foundation program is to support Towson University by building a culture of philanthropy and promoting the achievements of its faculty, staff, and students.

Signing Thank You Banner

Student Foundation members educate their peers on the impact and importance that donations make at TU, while also encouraging students to make a gift of their own in support of TU.

Overseen by the Office of Alumni Relations, the Student Foundation program works closely with the Annual Giving team within the Division of University Advancement to plan and lead the annual student giving campaign. Since 2014, more than 3,000 students have donated over $90,000 in support of the university.

As part of the student giving campaign, the Student Foundation oversees fundraising events that include: The Great Pumpkin Smash, Paws for Thanks, TU Big Give, and Doc Hug-a-Thon. During these events, Student Foundation members interact with peers, explaining the impact and importance of giving to Towson University, and creating a sense of pride and tradition among the student body.

Student Foundation members regularly interact with members of the TU community, campus leadership, alumni, parents, corporate sponsors, and board members.
