Below you will find information on Towson University payment solutions, the payment card acceptance policy, payment card security information, forms, training, resources and contact information.
Utilization of existing payment solutions that comply with the payment card acceptance policy is required. All systems that are approved for card acceptance activity must be administered in accordance with the requirements of all applicable university policies.
TouchNet is a suite of e-commerce tools that provides campus departments and organizations the ability to create, manage, and operate online storefronts, compliant payment systems and payment gateways. With Marketplace, your campus department can accept online payments and view real-time reports.
Towson University has contracted with NIC to provide online credit card payment services to its customers. This is an e-government service provided by the Department of Information Technology's master contract with NICUSA, Inc. A convenience fee of 3% is charged directly to the customer rather than the department.
All transactions involving credit card information to, from, or on behalf of the university must be performed via processes approved by the Payment Card Committee (PCC). The PCC includes representatives from Financial Affairs and OTS and its main function is to administer and oversee payment card use. Departments involved with the acceptance of and processing of credit cards for payment of goods and services must design adequate processes in compliance with the procedures detailed on this page.
You will start the discovery of business process by completing the PCC Solution Discovery Application Form (PDF). Once you have submitted the form, Financial Affairs will contact you with further instructions.
