Liz currently advises for Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Semester at Sea, and
serves as the TU representative for the Boren Awards and the designated university
program advisor for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. She is also the designated
liaison for student athletes. Liz works closely with the AVP for International Initiatives
and the Faculty Committee on Study Abroad and Study Away to develop policies and procedures
to facilitate successful experiences for students overseas and in the U.S. and collaborates
with other units and academic departments and colleges to create global learning opportunities
for all TU students. Liz holds an M.A. in Liberal and Professional Studies from Towson
University and a B.A. in Social Sciences at Nottingham Trent University in the UK.
Liz moved to the U.S. from Bristol, England in 1998 and joined the TU Study Abroad
& Away Office in 2000.
Jacklyn currently advises for the Americas, Spain, the TU Global Internships program,
and the National Student Exchange (NSE), and is also the designated liaison for military
affiliated students. She serves as the NSE coordinator for incoming and outgoing students,
manages the incoming international exchange student program, and administers the TU
Study Abroad & Away scholarships program. Jacklyn is also the primary lead for marketing
and outreach in our office. Jacklyn earned an M.A. in Student Affairs in Higher Education
from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in German and International Studies
at Susquehanna University, including a semester studying abroad in Germany. Jacklyn
joined the TU Study Abroad & Away Office in August of 2017.
Lyndsi advises for Europe (except for Spain) and is the designated liaison for first-generation
college students. She is the primary coordinator for our Horizons web-based management
system, facilitates all billing and registration for Study Abroad & Away, and is responsible
for our pre-departure and reentry programming. Lyndsi completed an M.A. in International
Education at George Washington University and got her B.A. in Mass Communication and
Marketing right here at TU! Lyndsi was a member of the TU Honors College and spent
a semester studying abroad at the University of Leeds in the UK in 2015. Lyndsi joined
the TU Study Abroad & Away team in April 2023.
Nick advises for and manages the application, admission, and orientation process for
faculty-led programs and is the designated liaison for LGBTQ+ students. He also assists
with the incoming International Exchange Student and National Student Exchange programs,
runs our Study Abroad & Away fairs, and helps keep the office running smoothly. Nick
completed an M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Florida and got his
B.A. in Hispanic Studies and Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University
of Tennessee, including semester study abroad experiences in Colombia and Costa Rica.
Nick also completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Colombia. Nick joined
the TU Study Abroad & Away team in July 2022.
Nastya works on key Study Abroad & Away projects including marketing and outreach,
coordinating in-class presentations, and managing the Study Abroad Course Database.
She holds a B.A. in Asian and African Studies from Saint Petersburg University in
Russia and spent a year studying abroad in China. Nastya is pursuing an M.A. program
in Marketing Intelligence at TU and joined the TU Study Abroad & Away team in August
2023.
