Attend a Group Advising session

Ready to take the next step? Our Group Advising session is mandatory for all students.* The group meeting tells you everything you need to know about the study abroad/away process including how to search for programs, how to apply, financial aid and scholarships, and course, grade, and credit transfers. The meeting lasts approximately 45 minutes.

In-person sessions are held Monday through Friday at 2 PM in the Study Abroad & Away Office (Psychology Room 408). Virtual sessions take place on Mondays and Thursdays at 11 AM via Zoom.

Can’t make it to a session?

Students unable to attend a regularly scheduled group advising meeting may send an email to  to request a make-up session.

After attending the Group Advising session, you are required to schedule a one-on-one meeting with a Study Abroad/Away Advisor to begin planning your experience.* Together you can compare program options and discuss your goals to find a program that suits your specific needs. Don't forget to have your advising packet from the group advising session accessible during your appointment.

*Students applying to participate in a TU faculty-led program are not required to attend a group advising session or meet with a Study Abroad/Away Advisor.

NOTE: Sessions and advising appointments are only for TU students or students considering earning a full degree at TU. Non-TU students should contact the Study Abroad & Away Office at their home institution.
