The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (OSPR) administers applications to both external and internal grant funding programs, including the programs of the Faculty Development and Research Committee.
The FDRC Award application cycle is open! Applications are due by 1:00pm on February 2, 2018. Congrats to the previous winners listed here FY18 FDRC Awards (PDF)! See below for more information on applying.
To be eligible to apply, you must complete a MyOSPR training session prior to the application deadline. Previous users of MyOSPR are also welcome for a refresher and to discuss updates to the guidelines and application. Please register for an upcoming training session.
The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research is eager to support faculty members who wish to enhance the competitiveness of their grants. Faculty members who serve on review panels gain knowledge of the breadth and most current scholarship in their field and insight into what makes a grant proposal succeed (or fail) during peer review. They also begin to develop professional relationships with agency personnel.
In order to encourage these activities, the OSPR will provide funding as follows (subject to the availability of funds):
These activities will be supported subject to the availability of funds. To take advantage of any of them, you must first email ospr AT_TOWSON with a brief explanation of your plans and the request.
The OSPR will not provide support for any activities that were not pre-approved.
Towson University subscribes to two Web-based search engines – the Grant Resource Center (GRC) and Grant Advisor Plus. Each engine is accessible online from faculty and staff desktops, or can be accessed through the TU Virtual Workspace. Both can be searched using multiple criteria, including keywords, sponsors and deadlines:
