The Academic Advising, Retention & Completion Office is the hub of academic advising and support for students at Towson University.

Whether you are a traditional first-year student, a newly arrived transfer, or a continuing student, the Academic Advising, Retention & Completion Office provides the support and tools you need to flourish academically and achieve your goals.

First-Year Students

First-Year Students will enroll in the First-Year Experience (FYE) Program, learn about the core curriculum requirements and participate in a seminar course designed to introduce students to  academic expectations.

Transfer Students

Transfer Students will learn about the Transfer Admissions, have the opportunity to participate in the Transfer Mentor Program and learn about commuter permits and costs.

Second Year Students and Beyond

After your first year advisers will help Second Year Students prepare you for what to expect after you complete your first-year and encourage you to explore the many resources available to help you declare a major.
