Accounting Major

The accounting major provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to transition into a career in accounting in a variety of settings and prepares students for the CPA examination in order to enter the public accounting profession. Students complete the lower-level required courses, upper-level business required courses and upper-level accounting required courses for the accounting major.

Accounting Accelerated B.S./M.S.

Earn both your bachelor's and master's degrees in less time and gain the 150 credits required for CPA licensing at a more rapid pace with the Accounting Accelerated B.S/M.S. 

Accounting Minor

The accounting minor is for students who want advanced accounting skills and knowledge that will be beneficial to their careers, but aren’t interested in becoming CPAs. The minor is a perfect complement to majors in business administrationeconomics or math with a concentration in actuarial science and risk management, but it is open to students from all programs other than accounting.

M.S. in Accounting and Business Advisory Services

Take your career to a new level with the M.S. in Accounting and Business Advisory Services. If you already hold a bachelor's degree in accounting from another institution, the additional specialized accounting course work will count toward the 150-hour requirement become licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Maryland and many other states.
