Why Hire CBE Students?

Our students are primed for the business world. At CBE, we provide experiential learning through the Business Excellence program, which is designed to prepare students for personal and professional success by focusing on essential knowledge, skills and attitudes with an emphasis on self-directed learning.

“ We find Towson students to be among the best trained, most competent students with the best work ethic in the Baltimore area, by far. ”

Janice Benenson, Heritage Financial Consultants, LLC

In the Business Communications course, students gain vital soft skills including presentation delivery, business writing and teamwork. Armed with these skills, students complete an approved internship for the capstone Professional Experience course-—a one-of-a-kind opportunity for both students and employers. While working at their internship in a professional setting, students concurrently reflect on their experiences in the classroom with their peers. Through this program—which is required for business administration, e-business and accounting majors—students make the transition from classroom to career.

For employers, the professional experience course functions similarly to a new-hire training program. While students are working for you, you will see them progress and improve over time.
