Review and Selection of Students

Complete and verified applications are reviewed once the application deadline has passed and applicants are ranked according to the quality of the submitted materials. Approximately 40 students are admitted to the program each year (including early admission students). Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee admission to the program. Students are advised to take great care in preparing and submitting their application materials.
After the application deadline has passed, applicants will be ranked based on their application materials. The most competitive applicants will be notified via their OTCAS email, giving instructions to apply to Towson University and pay the application fee and submit official transcripts to recieve further consideration.

 Deferral of Acceptance

Deferrals are not permitted. If you are unable to accept your spot in the program, you must reapply to the program completing all application requirements. In order to give students on the waitlist the best opportunity to receive a spot in the program, accepted students are given a deadline to return their intent forms to the department. Should this form not be received by the due date, their acceptance will be revoked and replaced with students from the waitlist.
