This program is for those who currently hold a Maryland teaching license in general education. At the completion of this program and after passing the required MSDE Praxis II tests, graduates will be eligible to receive an endorsement in special education.

Classes are offered at convenient on-campus and off-campus locations in evenings or late afternoons to accommodate working professionals. In addition, Towson Learning Network (TLN) partners with local school districts to provide complete M.Ed. programs at locations within their districts.
Upon completion of content courses students are required to complete a semester-long internship experience. Students requesting placement will work with the Center for Professional Practice (CPP) to secure an internship. Students who are currently teaching may request an on-the-job internship placement.
