Application Deadlines

This program accepts students for fall, spring and summer terms. To ensure timely processing, submit your application and supporting materials as early as possible. Application deadlines are August 1, January 2, and May 1, respectively.  While we may continue to accept the supporting materials after these dates, we cannot guarantee that your application will be reviewed in time for the start of classes

Admission Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in art education from a regionally accredited college or university* and/or certification as a public school art teacher (if a current teacher, you must submit a copy of your teaching certificate). Applicant must show evidence of approved undergraduate art education courses taken at the university level.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.00 for full admission or 2.75 for conditional admission. All GPA calculations for admission are based upon the last 60 units of undergraduate and post-baccalaureate study.  Must have a minimum of one year teaching experience in own self-contained art classroom.
