The Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum recognized four senior  students - Brandon Agugoesi, William Freeman, Ryan Gordon and Zobaria Ashraf - for their academic and community achievements by awarding nearly $16,000 in scholarships for the fall term.

Agugoesi (Information Technology), Freeman and Gordon (Computer Science) are students in the Jess & Mildred Fisher College of Science & Mathematics, while Ashraf will earn a degree in Business Administration from the College of Business and Economics.

The forum formed in 2003 as a peer-to-peer regional network for CIOs and other senior-level informational technology executives. Although independent, it has a partnership with Towson University and has been providing scholarships to TU students since 2006.

The forum’s awards benefit successful full-time sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate students studying computer science, computer information systems, information technology or business systems and processes.

"The forum is interested in the 'whole person' and their contributions to the community, university and society," says Hans Keller, CIO at Erickson Senior Living and long-time forum member and board member.

Applications are accepted in October for the spring term and in March for the fall term.
