Commuter Students
Permits and parking guidelines for commuter students.
Permits are required to park on campus from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Several permit options are available for commuter students.

Important permit changes
As a result of the updated enforcement schedule, Evening Annual and Evening Semester parking permits will no longer be offered for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Students who previously purchased an evening permits should purchase a Commuter parking permit (Core or Overflow) based on their earned credit status when general permits sales open on Monday, August 10th, at 9 a.m.
Core Permit
Core campus permits are available to students who have earned more than 30 credits and are not living in residence halls on university property. Golden ID students are also eligible to purchase full-price Core permits. Core permits are valid in designated core parking areas and overflow (stadium lot) parking areas at all times. Faculty/Staff, general services, resident life, and public safety parking areas are restricted at all times.
Overflow Permit
Overflow permits are available to students with less than 30 credits units or 30 or more credits who are not living in residence halls on university property. Some non-degree seeking students who are officially part of the IIR, joint academic program, or Golden ID students may purchase an overflow permit at a reduced rate. Alumni with no other campus affiliation may also purchase an overflow permit. Overflow permits are valid in the marked stadium lots near SECU Arena and Johnny Unitas Stadium. Signs state "Overflow.”
Weekly and Monthly Permits in Stadium Lots
Weekly and monthly Stadium Lot permits are available to any student not living in a residence hall on university property. The permits are valid in all Overflow areas. The permits are also valid in core areas after 3 p.m. Weekly and monthly permits are non-refundable.
