Below are the types of permits available to commuter students and the associated parking
restrictions. Permits are not required in most locations from Friday at 3 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m.,
or when the university is officially closed for a holiday or inclement weather.
Core Parking Permit
Core permits are available to students who have earned more than 30 units who are
not living in campus residence halls on university property, whether the building
is managed by the university or an outside company. Golden ID students are also eligible
to purchase a Core permit, but will not receive a discount on this permit type.
Core permits are valid in core campus in designated core and overflow parking areas at all times, and in faculty/staff areas outside the restricted hours
posted on signage. General services and public safety areas are restricted at all
times.
Freshman Commuters (30 units or Less)
Freshman commuters with fewer than 30 units may only purchase Overflow or Evening
permits.
Non-Degree and other Commuters
Non-degree seeking students as well as other select groups of commuter students may
only purchase Overflow or Evening permits.
New Information About Overflow Parking Permits for the Spring 2021 Term
Overflow permits are available to students with less than 30 units who are not living
in campus residence halls, including those managed by outside contractors. Some non-degree
seeking students who are officially part of the IIR, joint academic program, or Golden
ID students may purchase an overflow permit at a reduced rate. Retirees and alumni
with no other campus affiliation may also purchase an overflow permit.
Overflow parking permits will now be accepted in Core parking areas for the spring
2021 term. In addition, Overflow permits will still be valid at the Stadium Lots near SECU Arena
and Johnny Unitas Stadium as well as designated areas of the West Village Garage where
signs state "Overflow All TU Permits Valid in This Area.” Overflow permits are also
valid infaculty/staff areasafter 5 p.m. and on weekends, as posted on signage.
Evening Parking Permit
Evening permits are available to students who are not living in the campus residence
halls, including those managed by an outside company such as Millennium Hall, Tubman,
Paca, Barton, Douglass Houses, Carroll and Marshall Houses.
Evening permits are only valid after 3 p.m. in“core”areas, all“overflow”parking areas as posted, and in“faculty/staff”areas after the restricted hours posted on signage. If an evening permit holder needs
to park on campus before 3 p.m., they need to purchase a Visitor’s parking permit
from the ParkMobile App or the visitor paystation then park in a designated visitor
or overflow area. Ensure to have your license plate information upon purchase for
pay by plate option. An evening permit is NOT valid in visitor spaces at any time.
Stadium Lot Weekly and Monthly Parking Permit
Weekly and monthly Stadium Lot permits are available to any student not living in
campus residence halls, including those managed by outside contractors.
Weekly and monthly permits are only valid in the Stadium Lots, except for Lot 8a where
the signs state “All TU Permits valid in this area.” Weekly and monthly permits are
not valid in the overflow areas of the West Village Garage. These permits are also
valid incore areas after 3 p.m. and infaculty/staff areasoutside the restricted hours posted on signage.

Commuters should look for the parking signs below. Please read all parking signs
carefully and park only where authorized.
Core permits are valid on core campus areas as well as overflow parking areas at all
