FACET Office and Collaboration Space 

The FACET Office and Collaboration Space, located in Cook 405, is an area for faculty to engage with colleagues and FACET staff. The room includes the following:

  • reconfigurable collaboration areas with large whiteboard tables
  • three touchscreen computers with large monitors for collaboration (you can connect wirelessly with your own device to these displays)

Active Learning Lab

The Active Learning Lab is an extension of FACET’s mission to support faculty talent development as leaders in teaching, scholarship and service. The lab provides a flexible space for faculty to explore active learning and instructional practices using updated technology and a reconfigurable collaboration area. The lab will also provide a space where faculty can engage with colleagues, as well as FACET staff, through collaboration and discussions.

FACET will provide hands-on training to faculty interested in using the room and its technologies to explore active learning strategies, advance their instructional skills and enhance student learning experiences.

Faculty who would like to reserve the room for individual sessions should submit their request to  or call 410-704-2005.

The lab is currently equipped with:

  • mobile furniture
  • 2 cameras
  • microphones
  • 4K flat screen w/ computers (converts into 3 group workstations)
  • Solstice - wireless connections for portable devices, at projector and each flat panel
  • projector
  • electric screen

Faculty Recording Studio

The FACET faculty studio consists of a small room equipped with a windows computer, mic, webcam and background. The studio fits one to two presenters and may be used by faculty to participate in academic related webinars and/or record instructional content. If you are interested in reserving this space, please submit your name, date and desired reservation time to  at least one week in advance.
