Funding Databases

Towson University subscribes to two web-based search engines that can be used to identify funding opportunities. Additionally, members of the TU community can contact the OSPR to request a personalized funding search.

Request a Funding Search

Locating funding can be one of the most challenging steps in the grant process. The OSPR is able to offer specialized support to help you identify viable funding opportunities for research projects and other programming.

To request a funding search, send an abstract to the OSPR at  If you have a projected timeline or budget, that information is helpful as well.

Accessible online from any computer, SPIN allows users to maintain a personal profile, create custom funding searches for various projects, and arrange to receive email notifications when new opportunities in their research areas are released.
