Funding Databases

Towson University subscribes to two web-based search engines that can be used to identify funding opportunities. Additionally, members of the TU community can contact the OSPR to request a personalized funding search.

Request a Funding Search

Locating funding can be one of the most challenging steps in the grant process. The OSPR is able to offer specialized support to help you identify viable funding opportunities for research projects and other programming.

To request a funding search, send an abstract to the OSPR at If you have a projected timeline, budget, or keywords that information is helpful as well.

GrantForward

TU's new subscription with GrantForward, an extensive funding database, is live as of July 1, 2023

GrantForward uses specialized data-crawling technology to constantly update our extensive database of sponsors and funding opportunities, allowing thousands of grant opportunities to be gathered from over 9,000 U.S. sponsors. The system incorporates a dynamic search engine with a personalized funding recommendation service to simplify the grant search process.

Single-Sign-On (SSO) is enabled for GrantForward. TU faculty, staff, and students can use their NetID and password log in.

Grants Resource Center (GRC)

The Grants Resource Center (GRC) is a premium service of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) that aims to strengthen the competitive edge of colleges and universities pursuing public and private funding opportunities.
